Most motor clients require paired magnetization for arc segment magnets: two magnets form a pair. One magnet has the N pole on its outer arc surface and the S pole on the inner arc surface, while the other one features the S pole on the outer arc surface and the N pole on the inner arc surface.
Manufacturers usually mark lines on the magnets with white marker pens to help customers quickly distinguish N poles from S poles and avoid assembly mistakes.

For arc segment magnets without N/S pole markings, you can test them directly with a gauss meter if your company has one. The screen of the gauss meter will display the letter N or S, making the test extremely simple.
