Types of DC variable-frequency motors (BLDC):
Variable-frequency motors used in household appliances (BLDC). These were previously powered by high-priced neodymium-iron-boron magnets. However, with the breakthrough in the performance of ferrite magnets and their low cost and superior Curie temperature, they have almost entirely replaced neodymium-iron-bond magnets. The performance characteristics are all GC-9B grade. The residual magnetization is 430 MT, and the intrinsic magnetization is 380 kA/N. Companies such as Hisense, Haier, and Samsung have adopted these motors for their washing machines and air conditioners.
